We have two main travel opportunities for our team throughout the summer and season. We have a high altitude training camp at the CSU Mountain Campus in the summer and an end of season meet in Arizona for the NXR Regional Nike meet. See the details below on each of these opportunities for our athletes.


High Altitude Training Camp
We have a high altitude training camp at the CSU mountain campus for all of our athletes to get some training at altitude and bond as a team before the season begins.
What? Stay away camp open to all athletes (including freshmen new to the team). Includes running, hiking, games, teambuilding, ropes course, fun!
When? July 24th – July 27th, 2025
Where? CSU Mountain Campus
Transportation TBD. Bus or coaches and parents shuttle students up to the campus and back down.
Accommodation Dormitory with girl’s wing and boy’s wing. Cafeteria dining.
Chaperones/Coaches We ensure that at least 2 coaches are on this trip (most of the time it is all 4 because it is so fun!)
Cost Families pay $390 for the full camp (includes lodging, meals and all activities). Deposit ($190) due Friday, June 27. Final payment ($200) due July 11. All checks should be made out to “Rocky Mountain XC Club”.

NXR Southwest Regional Trip For Qualifiers and Eligible Seniors
We are looking forward to our annual post-season trip to the Nike regional meet in Phoenix, AZ. This is a highly competitive meet and an exciting experience for the runners. We have set time standards that our Rocky runners must meet to be part of the team going. STANDARDS HAVE CHANGED THIS YEAR (2025)
- Girls: PR under 20:30 (5km race) [NEW]
- Boys: PR under 18:30 (5km race) [NEW]
- Seniors who have been part of the team for at least 3 years but have not met the time standard are also eligible to make the trip
What: NXR – for us, Nike Cross Southwest Regionals. Includes Runners from CO, UT, NV, AZ and NM
When: Race Day is Saturday November 22nd, 2025. The team will fly out on Thursday night (11/20) and return on Sunday morning (11/23).
Where: Toka Sticks Golf Club, Mesa, AZ
Hotel: TBD
Transportation: Parent carpool to and from DIA. Flights to and from Phoenix. Two 12-passenger vans have already been reserved for transportation in the Phoenix area.
Chaperones/Coaches: At least two of the coaches will be going on the trip
Cost: Family cost has typically been around $450 + money for some meals. If your athlete meets the standard but you are unable to afford it, please talk to Coach about a possible scholarship.
