Lobo Invite

Join us for the annual Lobo Invitational on Saturday August 24th, 2024 at Spring Canyon Park in beautiful Fort Collins. Cheer on your local high school teams in Varsity and JV/Open 5K races, a middle school 1.5 mile race, and join us for a community 5K. Our spike-friendly course covers grass and dirt trails with gentle rises. Fantastic for cheering on your favorite local runners in multiple spots!

We will offer professional timing to ALL athletes courtesy of Hal Sports. Thank you for supporting our high school race and Lobo team with your registration fee!

Online registration will close for high school races on August 19th. . Day-of-registration will be available this year for $25 for middle school runners and $35 for adults. We strongly encourage online registration.

  • Please bring your own water. Water will not be provided on the race course

Rocky Mountain Alumni are encouraged to sign up to reconnect with old friends, coaches and fellow running aficionados.

Deadline for sign up for the middle school and community race goes through morning of the race on 8/24.

Deadline for High school registration on CO Milesplit is August 19th.

We are pleased to offer race day registration this year until 30 minutes before the race for which the runner is registering. Number bibs can be picked up on race day at the Creekside Shelter in Spring Canyon Park after 7:15am. Please allow adequate time to pick up numbers before your scheduled race.

Entry Fee

  • High School Teams: $250 for both girls and boys teams. $150 for one team entry (boys or girls)
  • Middle School: $15/runner for 1.5 mile time trial. ($25/runner on race day). This is not an official PSD event, so Middle School participants run as individuals and not in team uniforms, please. Bib pickup at shelter for online registrants.
  • Community 5K: $25/runner online (+$3.74 processing fee) $35/runner on race day (+$4.44 processing fee). Cash payments also accepted for day of registrations.

  • 8:00am – Community Race
  • 8:30am – Coaches Meeting
  • 9:00am – HS Varsity Boys (10 runners)
  • 9:30am – HS Varsity Girls (10 runners)
  • 10:00am – JV/Open Boys (unlimited runners)
  • 10:30am – JV/Open Girls (unlimited runners)
  • 11:00am – Middle School Boys 1.5 mile
  • 11:30am – Middle School Girls 1.5 mile

Parking/Logistics

Parking at Spring Canyon Park is available on both the north and south areas of the park. School bus drivers, take Drake west to Overland, follow Overland until it ends in the parking lot and drop athletes by the South end of Overland. Please park in the gravel area of the south parking lot.

Parents/spectators, please do not park in the gravel area to allow room for buses. Citizen, middle school runners, and spectators are encouraged to park by Cottonwood Park or in the parking lot off of Horsetooth Ave.
